Erin Elizabeth Stratton and Christopher Bryan Brady were united in marriage on December 19, 2009, at six o’clock in the evening at Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC. The Reverend Jan Brittain officiated. The bride’s parents hosted a reception at Greensboro Country Club. On Friday evening, parents of the groom hosted a dinner at Revolution Mill Studios. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harvey Stratton, III of Greensboro, NC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harvey Stratton, Jr. of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Mrs. Shirley L. Dixon and the late Mr. James M. Dixon, Jr. of Greensboro, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. James M. Dixon of Burlington, NC. Erin is a graduate of Page High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Perry Brady of Charlotte, NC. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Brevard Brady of Charlotte, Mrs. Anna Neale Samworth and the late Dr. Winton Robert Houck of Charlotte. Chris is a graduate of Charlotte Country Day School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The bride, escorted by her father, wore her mother’s wedding gown and veil. Her sisters, Lindsay Stratton and Macie Stratton, of Charlotte, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Dixon of Greensboro; Catherine Duncan and Lillian Smith, of Charlotte; Mary Ellen Graham of Fort Mill, SC; Taylor Stevens of Atlanta, GA: Tori Barnett and Allison Jones, both of New York, NY; and Molly Tyler of Charleston, SC. The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Jon Brady, brother of the groom, Sam Bowles, Robert Lesley, Glenn Sherrill, Mark Thigpen, and Charles Thrift, all of Charlotte; Johnny Rankin of Atlanta, GA; Bret Hooper of Eagle, CO; and Cutter Houck of Beacon, NY. Evelyn Fisher of Washington, DC served as a reader during the ceremony. Jennifer Dixon, Katie Williams, and Jay Williams, all of Greensboro, and Ryan Dixon of Atlanta, GA served as greeters. Following their honeymoon to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Charlotte, NC.
