Stephanie Clark Fogarty and Matthew Robert Rygler were united in marriage Saturday, September 26, 2009, at half past five o’clock at Starmount Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, NC. The Reverend Doctor George Carpenter and The Reverend John Odom officiated.
Music was provided by Robert and Rhonda Overman, vocalists; Christian McIvor, trumpeter; and John Alexander, organist. Guests were greeted by Chappie and Aubrey Wright.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The O. Henry Hotel with the Catbaby! Band. On Friday evening, the rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Proximity Hotel. The bridesmaids’ brunch was hosted by Betsy Bullard, Eliza Burton, and Jane Mitchell at the home of Mrs. Bullard.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Fogarty of Greensboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Colonel and Mrs. Richard E. Fogarty and the late Mrs. and Mrs. Boatman E. Clark. She is a graduate of Grimsley High School, East Carolina University, and North Carolina State University.
The groom is the son of Kenneth A. Rygler of Austin, Texas and Alma E. Darling of Wilmington, Delaware. He is the grandson of Mary Rygler and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Darling. He is a graduate of Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Delaware and Amherst College. He is employed by Aetea Information Technology, Inc.
The bride was attended by her college roommates Abby Stallworth as maid of honor and Elizabeth Warren as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leslie Fogarty, Lee Rendleman, Jennifer Rygler, and Lisa Rygler. Kylie Schodorf was junior bridesmaid and Claire Fogarty flower girl.
The groom was attended by high school friends Nick Bodor and Ryan Gunther as best men. Groomsmen were Bob Downing, Michael Fogarty, Dave Jaquette, and Ben Stauffer. Ring bearer was Trent Schodorf.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Paris and Amsterdam and now reside in Wilmington, Delaware.
